At One in Perfect Peace

peace

By Wallace Huey

Is it possible to have total inner peace in the hustle and bustle?

If we can continually observe our mind as it reacts to the business of everyday life, then this is meditation. No need for a separate mediation space, candles or quiet.

As we observe our mind react to external stimuli, and are anchored in our silent core, we may indeed have occasional stray thoughts, but we remain emotionally disconnected from them.

What does this mean in a practical sense?

It means we occasionally experience potentially stress-inducing thoughts but there is a large gap that disconnects us emotionally from them. This means our dominant experience is peace. And our dominant emotion is love. This is what it means to be Heart Centred.

This is our True Self.

And the best place to connect with it is in the midst of the hustle and bustle.
