The Future of Humanity and
the Birth of a New Golden Age

Humanity is about to go through the eye of the needle. What happens to the life of an individual when they go through this experience?

Transformation.

What is transformation? According to the Cambridge dictionary it is…

“A complete change in the appearance or character of something or someone, especially so that thing or person is improved.”

And that is exactly what is about to happen to the human race. It is the end of 2021 as I sit here at home writing this article and by the end of 2031, this transformation will have happened.

At the core of this transformation will be a crisis of identity for billions of human beings. At the current time the number of crises are mounting and the human response is beginning to falter. This is because we cannot address these crises with the same consciousness that has prevailed on the planet for the last 5,000 years. This is a consciousness where our ability to survive has been marked out through a reliance of competition between people, a winner takes all approach to conflict and a belief that resources are scarce.

This approach has been appropriate up to now and has spurred on our civilizations and its technological advances. It has been supported by our education systems and our corporate structures - the so called military industrial complex. We have developed, through these approaches, the preeminence of the human ego. However this preeminence of the ego no longer serves us. Its limited and conditioned responses to life can be replicated by the machine.

The human ego is about to dissolve and on a mass scale. This dissolution of the ego will be accelerated by the continuing rise of artificial general intelligence, which can take the logical and rational characteristics of the human intellect and embed it into machine code. The result is the manufacture of increasingly lifelike avatars that will soon be put to work on all kinds of highly paid tasks.

This invasion of the workforce by the avatar will, right on cue, provoke a crisis of identity for billions of people worldwide. Their highly prized skills, based on logical reasoning, rote learning and memory, will have become redundant. For the first time in human history human beings will, en-mass, question their identity.

What does it mean to be human? Who am I? What is my life purpose? - and - How can I provide a service that can offer something valuable, in a world dominated by the machine?

At the forefront of being able to answer this question, and translate the answer into marketable products and services, will be the caregivers, the artists, the teachers and the philosophers. These are the people who will offer what the avatars cannot - love, compassion, creativity, vision, these will be the new frontier endeavors, freeing people from having to remember everything that can be explained to a machine. Freeing them to explore and embrace what makes them uniquely human. These human qualities have heretofore been the prevail of those who, for centuries, have been on the fringes of society. Instead of being skills and qualities of marginal interest, people with such qualities will be invited to come in from the cold and offer these skills to the mainstream.

This will be the end of the competitive mindset. The end of scarcity. The end of war and the threat of war. And it will give rise to an abundance of opportunity for those who are willing to make the change. It will be a Great Awakening - the withering of the human ego and the birth of a New Conscious Humanity.
