The Best Way to Explore The Spiritual Path
“Thank you Wallace, this is a divinely inspired piece just like the Path itself.” ~ Liam
The Path works with your inner guidance.
Do not have a rigid goal orientated approach to your seeking. If you are looking for something specific start with that intention - but be open to how God is guiding your search.
As you seek, if your curiosity is sparked off in a different direction, be open to following it and you might be surprised where you end up and what you discover.
And as in The Spiritual Path so too in life.
Remember also that parts of The Spiritual Path are purposely somewhat hidden from view - so there is lots more to be discovered the deeper you search.
The Spiritual Path has a “perfection” to it. The perfection of something that has been Divinely Ordained.
Are you ever surprised that no matter what question you ask me I am able to guide you to the precise resource you need? That’s something you can learn to do for yourself, not by having a rigid approach to your seeking but by following your curiosity and allowing God to guide you.
The Spiritual Path is designed to support this particular approach.
Why?
Because by learning to be a powerful seeker of Truth on The Path you become a powerful seeker of Truth in life!
As within so without.
You will know when you are mastering the Art of Seeking because you will fall in love with The Path, use it regularly and be prepared to make personal and financial sacrifices to see it continue to blossom.
There may even be times you hate The Path and everything it stands for. This is normal - it’s all the ego rising to the surface and working its way out. So if this happens you may be disillusioned - but this is often a good sign.
Disillusionment means you are letting go of your illusions - and who wants to live with illusions anyway!
So I encourage you to “fall in love with The Path” as you would a best friend. Therefore be open to reading and re-reading parts of The Path and to seeking the help of your facilitator, and the help of your fellow seekers in The Chrysalis, for in-depth understanding and in applying the teachings to particular challenging situations in your life.
As you do this so you will start to EMBODY its teachings. Then one day you may find yourself in a similar social situation to one you were in 6 months earlier and be surprised to find how you are in that situation is completely different.
The Path is a small yet complete teaching. This adds to its charm. This is not to say that it cannot be changed or improved. But do so with extreme care and high awareness as it would be very easy to corrupt its subtle and gentle power to transform your life and the lives of your fellow seekers.
Of course in addition to The Path you will want, at times, to refer to other teachings. This can be good, but only if you remember to keep The Spiritual Path at the heart of your learning and your personal and spiritual development. This is because The Spiritual Path is the consequence of one person's work - consequently it has an integrity, simplicity and clarity that is only available to something that has come from one person’s Divine Inspiration. And it’s this very high integrity, combined with the holistic nature of this Spiritual Teaching, which gives it its transforming power.
So I invite you to become a regular explorer of The Path and to share it with other seekers. It will serve your spiritual growth over many years and take you from being a beginner on The Spiritual Path to all the way to Enlightenment.
Enjoy!
