Facilitator Training for The Spiritual Path

STEP 1. Become familiar with the home pages on both websites and watch the videos on each home page:

Get in touch with your trainer, when you’ve watched all three videos.

Make them aware of the Association of Spiritual Integrity symbol in the top right corner of the home page and that we belong to this association.

STEP 2. The workshops required for every facilitator:

A. LEARN TO LISTEN. This ensures the facilitator has the listening skills required to be a good facilitator.

B. ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS: Learning to ask open-ended and powerful questions that require the participant to give more than only yes or no answers.

C. BE A PERSON OF INTEGRITY: learning be responsible and do as you say you are going to do, be on time, turn up, keep promises, be aware of right and wrong, etc., while being your true authentic self.

D. A WORKSHOP OF THE TRAINER’S CHOICE: This is where the trainee practices facilitating a workshop for the trainer, having taken notice of all that the trainer has shown in the workshops taken by the trainee.

E. TIPS FOR FACILITATORS:

The participant is always in charge of the procedure and makes the decisions about what is happening. You are a facilitator and are serving the participant.
If the participant is interested in doing a certain workshop highlight and copy the first link and send it over to them as it is the introduction. You can send it in advance if they’d like to see it before you work with them.
Do not ever send the second one as that is for their private viewing with you as a facilitator.
When you start on the chosen workshop give the participant an overview so they can decide if they want to do it. Scroll down to show them what the workshop consists of. Ask them if it suits them. They may not want to do it and may want to choose a different subject.
When the video starts playing, ask them to indicate whether they can hear it or not.
Tell them that while the video is playing they can ask for it to be stopped at any time for discussion or to ask questions.
Tell them they can ask for notes to be written at any time in the text boxes.
The text boxes can be enlarged by clicking the symbol in the bottom right hand corner so there is no limit to the amount you can write.
When you come to a significant question give them the opportunity to talk freely about it and then sum it up and write it in the text box.
Ask them to read it back and see if it is clear to them.
Make sure you keep the curser well away from multiple choice answers as it may influence them if your curser is hovering over one of the answers.
Let them know that the images are all significant and have been carefully chosen for each workshop.
When the session is over, make sure the text box has been enlarged to all the text can be saved.
Make sure they have it in their chat box and ask them to check that it is all as it should be.
When writing in the text box clearly write the video number the text refers to.
When ending the session, if it is during a video, make a note of the time the video stopped.
If you have a break in the session, always click on SAVE just in case something happens and it gets lost.
When returning to the video or questionnaire in the next session, ask them if they would like to go over what was done in the last session. It is often valuable to do this.

STEP 5. Become familiar with the technical steps to open the workshop and share it on screen, making sure the sound is shared as well (there is a button to press when you share).

Be able to copy and send the workshop to the participant.
